The Fast Lane Club, organiser of Yorkshire Elegance, has unveiled bold new plans for northern England’s leading concours d’elegance, during an exclusive launch event at the luxurious Grantley Hall in Ripon, North Yorkshire. Attended by select clients and media, the announcement set the stage for the event’s third instalment in 2025.
Scheduled for July 22-24, 2025, Yorkshire Elegance is set to return with a brand-new format and the introduction of a driving tour for Veteran and Edwardian-era vehicles. The event will also celebrate automotive heritage by commemorating a number of significant motoring milestones.
“Our aim is to bring together a truly unique collection of vehicles that represent the pinnacle of automotive design and innovation,” stated managing director of The Fast Lane Club, Simon Smith. “Next year’s concours promises to be our most diverse and impressive yet.”

The diversity of vehicles set to feature at Yorkshire Elegance 2025 is mirrored by the automotive milestones it will honour. These include the celebrated DB-era Aston Martins, the 70th anniversary of Stirling Moss’s legendary Mille Miglia victory, 100 years of the Rolls-Royce Phantom, 50 years of the Porsche 930 Turbo, the 140th anniversary of the Benz Patent-Motorwagen, and 70 years since Mike Hawthorn’s historic Le Mans triumph with Jaguar.
Smith confirmed that the winning medal presented to Moss after his Mille Miglia victory will be at the show. “I am also in contact with Mercedes-Benz Classic about the possibility of displaying Moss’s 300 SLR ‘722’ race car,” he continued. “We’re going to have a display of classic Mercedes-Benz and Daimler cars from that period as well.”
Yorkshire Elegance will also pay homage to Coventry and the city’s role in the birth and evolution of the UK motor industry. Among the stories celebrated will be the pioneering efforts of Frederick Simms, who introduced the combustion engine to Britain, as well as Henry Sturmey’s historic 17-day journey from Land’s End to John O’Groats in 1897 – the world’s longest motoring trip at the time.
In a nod to Sturmey’s achievement, Yorkshire Elegance will host a curated selection of Coventry-built machines, ranging from early motor cars to the iconic Jaguar D-type that Hawthorn drove to victory at Le Mans in 1955.
The most significant alteration to the format is the decision to move the Yorkshire Dale Run driving tour to the beginning of the three-day schedule. Open to any “prestige or heritage vehicle”, the run is composed of an approximately 130-mile route that begins and ends at Grantley Hall. Once participants finish the run, they will be invited to attend an exclusive concours preview party and barbeque on the concours lawn.
Elegance Wednesday takes place on day two. Previously known as Ladies’ Day, attractions include concours judging, the Owners Club Trophy award ceremony, live music and special guest cars. The most notable addition, however, is the driving tour for up to 30 pre-1918 Veteran cars that will take place in the afternoon.
Revival Thursday will bring the concours to a close on July 24. As the name implies, Revival Thursday is dedicated to period dress, and will also see the judges reveal the concours winners. Other attractions include a car parade ending with a grand dinner, live music, special guests and a party.
General admission for the concours is £69 and includes a barbeque lunch. Gold and Platinum packages that include VIP hospitality and entry to the Driving Day start from £799 for all three days of the event.
