The partnership between Rétromobile organiser Comexposium and the duPont Registry – which already runs Canossa and Cavallino, among many other car events – was announced on Thursday October 3, 2024, and scant details have been released. A press statement said that the US event would bring the flavour of Rétromobile, but with an American twist.

“It will also showcase a wide range of vintage and rare classic cars, heirs to more than a century of automotive history, reflecting the historical and cultural importance of beautiful machines, the richness of craftsmanship, innovation and design, and explaining how the automotive sector has influenced culture and society on an international scale.”

Gérard Neveu, CEO of duPont Registry Events, said: “When we see the passion and enthusiasm that Rétromobile generates in Paris among European classic car enthusiasts, it is clear that this emotion and spirit also exist in the United States. Bringing the Rétromobile show to America was an obvious choice, to allow a wider audience and the world’s largest market for classic cars to enjoy this fantastic event. Like the annual Paris show, Rétromobile USA will appeal to all kinds of exhibitors, collectors and visitors, united in a grand celebration of design, craftsmanship and automotive history.”

Meanwhile, Romain Grabowski, director of the Rétromobile Show Paris at Comexposium, said: “We are very pleased to announce this project in the United States, marking a new chapter in the history of the Rétromobile show. Since 1976, it has been organised by enthusiasts for enthusiasts. We are firmly convinced that we have found in duPont Registry Group the ideal partner, with its extensive expertise and strong network in the US automotive world. Comexposium is excited to bring the Rétromobile experience to the largest market in the world. We look forward to reconnecting with our American collector friends, long-time visitors to the Paris event, and to meeting new American fans.”
