The 2023 Historic Motoring Awards sponsored by Chubb took place at The Dorchester, London, with its largest audience yet. It was hosted by Amanda Stretton, and wrapped up with a charity auction.
Architect and car collector Jonathan Segal flew in from his home in San Diego to collect the Car of the Year award for his Maserati A6G/54 Zagato (picture above this year at the Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace), Indian collector Yohan Poonawalla was awarded Classic Car Ambassador of the Year, the Concours of Elegance took home the Concours of the Year award, while Motoring Event of the Year went to the International St Moritz Automobile Week.
There were emotional moments when Sarah Jane Adams-Diffey collected the Personal Achievement award for her work creating apprenticeships in honour of her late husband Simon Diffey, and when Merle Mullin (above) collected the Lifetime Achievement Award for continuing the work of her late husband Peter Mullin.
