This year’s event will see a curated selection of around 100 world-class collector cars assembled on the HAC’s grand lawns, vying for Best in Show silverware. The cars are selected by London Concours’ Steering Committee, which is composed of a team of motoring experts from fields such as journalism, finance, law, classic car sales and restoration.
Car class themes include Great British Racing, Carnaby Street, Coachbuilt Greats – Zagato, Purple Reign, Corvette, Enlightened – All About the Aero, and the Legendary V12.
The opening day of the timetable, on Tuesday June 4, marks VIP Preview and McLaren Day. This will see the London Concours pay homage to the recent 60th anniversary of McLaren, with a display that charts the marque’s road car development from the iconic F1 hypercar through to the 2023 Artura supercar.
One of the most headline-grabbing hypercars confirmed to be in attendance is a 2015 Jaguar C-X75
McLaren designers Paul Howse and Peter Stevens will join motoring journalist Kyle Fortune on stage to bring the marque’s evolution as a road car manufacturer to life. Judges will then determine the Overall Winner and Highly Commended cars for the special McLaren Awards, before the opening day comes to an end.
Other highlights from the timetable on day one include the talks by personalities such as Alex Brundle, Dave Vitty and Julia Roberts, as well as Koenigsegg’s presentation of its incredible Jesko hypercar on stage at 12:30pm.
The grand finale arrives at 5:00pm, when attendees will be invited to witness the concours prize winners being announced by the expert jury.
With the concours judging completed, the jury’s attention will turn to the Jaguar E-type on Wednesday June 5, which celebrates the iconic 1960s sports car with an eclectic gathering of 50 examples that span from early Series 1 models to contemporary restomods. The jury panel will then choose an Overall Winner and a Highly Commended car from this selection, in a prize-giving ceremony at 4:00pm.
The E-type showcase will be complemented by the presence of former Jaguar designer Keith Helfet and marque expert Philip Porter, who will discuss the model’s legacy on stage shortly after the prize giving.
Wednesday will also see Iconic Auctioneers host its London Concours Luxury Lifestyle Sale, which will see desirable vehicles, luxury timepieces and jewellery, art and automobilia cross the block. Notable lots include a 1970 Aston Martin DB5 Sports Saloon, a 1962 Eagle E-type Series 1 Roadster and a René Lalique glass motor car mascot.
Thursday June 6 is Supercar Day, which caps off the event by showcasing some of the most dramatic, exotic and desirable cars ever created. For one day only, iconic models from the likes of Lamborghini, Ferrari, Pagani and Bugatti will join the already impressive line-up of cars on the show field. Again, the jury panel will crown an Overall Winner and a Highly Commended car from this selection of exotica, at 4:30pm.
One of the most headline-grabbing hypercars confirmed to be in attendance throughout the event, as part of the special Hypercars class, is a 2015 Jaguar C-X75 prototype. This particular example featured in the James Bond film Spectre, and has recently been converted to road-legal specifications by CALLUM, which was founded by C-X75 designer Ian Callum. Consequently, it is currently the only road-legal C-X75 in the world.
The C-X75 is joined by a 2023 Ferrari Daytona SP3, 2008 Koenigsegg CCXR Edition, 2006 Porsche Carrera GT, 2007 Bugatti Veyron and two McLaren P1s, among others.
Competing with the hypercars for excitement is the TVR Scamander Amphibious, a bizarre all-terrain vehicle that recently went viral after appearing on motoring journalist Harry Metcalfe’s YouTube channel. The Scamander, which appears in the Wild Cards class, will be presented by Harry on stage at 5:15pm.
Aside from viewing the stunning selection of vehicles, guests will also have the opportunity to peruse boutiques from the likes of luxury watchmaker BALTIC, fine jeweller Calleija and many more. Refreshments from a number of premium food and drink vendors will be available throughout the event, including Veuve Clicquot Champagne, Soho Street Cocktails and Jim & Tonic gin drinks.
Meanwhile, the City Challenge, which is taking place for the duration of the event, will see both individual drivers and larger teams take on the challenge of setting the fastest lap in a McLaren MP4/4 at the iconic Silverstone track, using the latest simulator technology provided by Asetek SimSports.
