Lanzante teases bespoke McLaren-based Project 95-59 hypercar to celebrate 1995 Le Mans

Lanzante, the racing team that delivered the 1995 Le Mans 24 Hours win with the McLaren F1, has announced a new car. In more recent years, the outfit has become known for its work engineering track-only hypercars from Pagani, Porsche and McLaren for the road along with the TAG Turbo.

Called Project 95-59, the latest machine will be based upon a McLaren platform, with the name referencing the year of its famous victory and the car number of the winning F1 GTR. Details are scarce, with imagery limited to the above picture and a brief description of its spec – a driver-focused three-seat layout with luggage capacity, with what Lanzante describes as “enhanced touring range”. Oh, and the small matter of a target power-to-weight ratio of 700bhp per tonne, which is comfortably up there in McLaren Longtail territory.

Design is by Paul Howse, who is best known as the aerodynamicist of the P1.

More details are due to be revealed over the coming weeks in advance of the model’s public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 10-13, 2025. Check out the Lanzante Instagram for more details.
