Goodwood has announced The Winning Formula – Champions and Challengers as the theme for the next Festival of Speed, scheduled for July 10-13, 2025.

Inspired by the 75th anniversary of the Formula 1 World Championship, the theme pays tribute to the category’s world-leading speed, technology and design since being founded in 1950.

To demonstrate these attributes, Goodwood will assemble a special display dedicated to the past, present and future of F1 for the event’s biggest-ever celebration of the series. It has confirmed that cars, drivers, teams, designers and personalities from the pinnacle of motor sport will be present. Further details will be disclosed in January 2025.

Another source of inspiration for The Winning Formula is the 125th anniversary of both the Gordon Bennett Cup and the Thousand-Mile Trial, as well as the 100 years of the World Manufacturers’ Championship.

Additionally, Goodwood will invite competitors from every major championship in international motor sport, including the World Endurance Championship, World Rally Championship, Formula E, IndyCar, NASCAR, Dakar, Moto GP and World Superbikes. It is promised that “each will play their part” in the celebrations.

“The Festival of Speed is uniquely placed to reflect on motor sport’s rich history and heritage, and I am delighted that in 2025 we will do this through the lens of The Winning Formula,” said Goodwood Festival of Speed founder the Duke of Richmond.

“The team at Goodwood always do such a fantastic job of bringing together the most incredible cars, bikes, drivers, riders and teams,” added former Formula 1 driver Karun Chandhok. “I can’t wait to see what and who they have lined up for The Winning Formula – and I’m hoping they might even let me get behind the wheel of something special.”
