FuoriConcorso, a spin-off independent event that runs on the same weekend as Italy’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, will this year celebrate British racing cars built during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
Previous events have pulled out rarely seen classics from private collections, as well as from manufacturer heritage fleets from the likes of Fiat, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz and Bentley among others. It all takes place in the beautiful grounds of neighbouring Villa Grumello and Villa Sucota.

First created by Guglielmo Miani in 2019, FuoriConcorso is the leading event in a series of automotive culture-related tours, rallies and more. Last year’s FuoriConcorso celebrated aerodynamics and Le Mans racers, with modern hypercars from the likes of McLaren, Koenigsegg and Aston Martin on display as prime examples of the art. You can expect more modern hypercars at this year’s event, alongside demonstrations of arts and crafts in the villas themselves.
Since 2022, the event format has been opened up as an ‘Open Museum’ concept, with an open air, free-to-all exhibition at nearby Villa Olmo. Last year’s exhibition had a vibrant and varied celebration of Porsche’s 75th birthday. There was also a further celebration of Ferrari BBs.
While precise details of all the events and cars have yet to be announced – other than the overall theme of British Racing Green, and racing cars built during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II – you can expect plenty of surprises and relaxed fun among the sprawling, beautifully kept gardens on the shores of Lake Como.
The event takes place between May 25-26, 2024, and more details can be found here.
