A veteran cartoon character has become the focus of a collaboration between Bamford Watch Company and Franck Muller. The collaboration uses Muller’s Vanguard model as its basis, with Popeye’s oversized forearms acting as the minute and hour hands. Swee’Pea moves around the dial via the tip of the seconds hand. Sixty models are to be made available in black PVD titanium, with a further 25 available in 18K rose gold.
The watches are delivered in an aluminium ‘spinach tin’, alongside an original comic strip printed on a microfibre cloth for keeping the watch clean. The black edition costs £12,500 and the rose-gold model is yours for £21,500; both are available via Bamford Watch Department.
