Enzo Mattioli Ferrari, a direct descendant of Il Commendatore Enzo Ferrari and grandson of Piero Ferrari, has been appointed president of Cavallino Inc, an organisation that has been dedicated to the legacy of the Prancing Horse since 1978.
Cavallino is best known in Ferrari circles for its eponymous magazine, which focuses on the marque’s heritage, as well as the prestigious Cavallino Classic Concorso d’Eleganza, which has been held annually in Palm Beach, Florida, since 1992. The concours has grown to include editions in Modena and Abu Dhabi, with a brand-new Sydney event debuting on November 29, 2024.
Enzo Mattioli Ferrari (pictured above right) currently serves as the CEO of Ferrari Family Investments and as a Piero Ferrari Trust trustee. His investment in Cavallino represents the Ferrari family’s first direct involvement in the organisation, which has championed the heritage of the marque for more than four decades.
“I strongly believe in the Cavallino project, and for this reason I am excited to participate in its development and growth – not just with financial investment, but with strategic involvement,” Enzo Mattioli Ferrari said. “Cavallino has a crucial mission – to foster the passion for the Prancing Horse and to contribute to protecting Ferrari’s legacy, while supporting and promoting the continued growth of the vintage car sector.”
For the past four years, Cavallino has been expertly guided by Luigi Orlandini, who will continue to serve as the chairman of the board of directors and CEO following Enzo’s appointment.
“First of all, on behalf of everyone at Cavallino, I’d like to thank Enzo Mattioli Ferrari for believing in the Cavallino project,” said Orlandini. “His expertise and passion present a tremendous opportunity for a project such as Cavallino, which, thanks to his input and ideas, will further strengthen its leadership in the vintage car world.”
