The UK’s County Classics Motor Museum opened its doors on November 21, 2023, following an opening ceremony hosted by television personality and former Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond.
Based in the County Stores building in Taunton, Somerset, the museum is the culmination of years of planning and development, and was spearheaded by local entrepreneur and car enthusiast Patrick Hawkins.
The museum’s diverse collection comprises an eclectic array of 100 cars, more than 80 motorcycles and even an aeroplane. These vehicles, primarily crafted between the 1960s and 1990s, either belong to Patrick’s personal collection or have been generously loaned by passionate local enthusiasts.
Enhancing the visitor experience, the museum also features an on-site café where visitors can unwind, as well as a small souvenir shop filled with automobilia to buy.
