More than 100 classic cars assembled in the metropolis of Dubai on December 3, 2023, for the second edition of the 1000 Miglia Experience UAE.
Held over four days, the 1600km adventure through the enchanting surroundings of the desert provided a unique contrast to traditional regularity rallies held in Europe and the US.
This year, the overall victory was claimed by the 1955 Porsche 356 driven by the Italian Rifai-Mozzi crew. Umberto and Alice Galloni came home in second place in their 1930 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Gran Turismo, followed by the Wetz-Drazdik pairing’s 1957 Lancia Aurelia B20 GT.
The podium positions were followed by entrants hailing from over 15 different countries, including the US, England, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Turkey, Oman and Lebanon.
“The 1000 Miglia Experience is a licenced event that aims to take the spirit of the Red Arrow outside Italy,” said 1000 Miglia CEO Alberto Piantoni at the event’s closing ceremony on December 7. “There is no question that the 1000 Miglia has always been and will always remain only in Italy: the project to internationalise and consolidate our brand is aimed precisely at reinforcing its identity and raising awareness of the values, history and uniqueness of the most beautiful race in the world.”
