The Concours of Elegance, which takes place September 3-5 at the UK’s Hampton Court Palace, has announced the first of its special features for 2021: a line-up of 95 British cars in celebration of Her Majesty The Queen’s 95th birthday.
The 95 cars will be curated by Magneto. They start at 1926 – the year of Her Majesty’s birth – and work through to 2021, charting the evolution of the British motor industry through its many ups and downs, via iconic cars, family favourites and obscure low-volume models.
The special 95th birthday display will be just one of many special features at the Concours of Elegance, which this year is expected to include around 1000 cars around the grounds of Hampton Court Palace.
The line-up includes a Bentley 4½-Litre, Jaguar XK120, Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato (British-Italian collaborations are deemed acceptable!), the original Range Rover, a Lotus Esprit Turbo, a Rolls-Royce Phantom VII and a McLaren Senna.
Owners of eligible models who would like to display their cars are invited to email organiser Iain Campbell at Thorough Events with details of their car.
Note that the model in question doesn’t have to be the exact year of introduction but should be of appropriate specification to represent that year. For the full list, see below.
