A record 382 Lamborghinis converged in one place to break the record for the most marque cars on track at one time, to both celebrate 60 years of the Italian supercar brand and witness the UK launch of the all-new Revuelto plug-in hybrid supercar.
The colourful line-up, which took place on Saturday April 29, 2023, was drawn via Bull Runs at 11 UK Lamborghini dealerships. It was met by chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann, together with chief technical officer Rouven Mohr, head of design Mitja Borkert and chief sales and marketing officer Federico Foschini. They revealed the Revuelto after the colourful spectrum of cars took to the Silverstone track led by a Miura and the new Countach.
The Revuelto had its world premiere at the end of March this year, but such is the importance of the UK market that Lamborghini saw the value of bringing the new model to Silverstone. “The UK continues as one of our top markets worldwide, with a loyal and growing Lamborghini client and fan base,” said Winkelmann. “Our celebrations for our 60th anniversary event at Silverstone, the UK’s most iconic race circuit, are a fitting tribute to our brand, to our owners and to the millions of people around the world who are passionately interested in Lamborghini.”
The 1015bhp Revuelto blends a newly designed naturally aspirated V12 with three electric motors to produce 128bhp/litre. Aided by a lightweight carbon construction, it can hit 0-62mph in 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of more than 350km/h.
Lamborghini Polo Storico, the brand’s specialist restoration, certification and spare parts department, was also in attendance, and curated a display of classic models including a 400GT, Miura, Espada, Countach, Diablo and LM002.
On May 24 the 60th Anniversary Giro tour will be held in Italy, ending on May 28 in Piazza Maggiore in Bologna with a concours open to the public, where more than 150 Lamborghinis are expected to participate. More details on Lamborghini can be found here.
