The Concours on Savile Row returns to London’s renowned tailoring street for its third edition on May 22-23, 2024. The announcement was made by Hothouse Media, creator of Magneto magazine, and The Pollen Estate, the Landlord for many of the tailors on the street. Entry to the public is free, and the event celebrates the long tradition of bespoke craftsmanship shared between car makers and tailors.
Earlier this year, over 12,000 people visited Savile Row for the Concours, which saw more than 40 cars and motorcycles lining the red-carpeted street in the sunshine.
The diverse range of vehicles was curated by Magneto editor David Lillywhite, and included two Hunstman-designed Bentleys, a Jaguar E-type art car and a Lotus 79 Formula 1 racer.
Bespoke design, sustainability and craftsmanship will be the focus of the 2024 edition, and the organisers are looking for cars that meet those criteria. Collectors can send an application for their car’s entry into the Concours here.
For 2023, the Concours on Savile Row hosted a seminar at the Royal Academy of Arts entitled Cars as Art: The Investment-Level Collector Cars That Transcend the Car Hobby and Become Rolling Works of Art. A series of seminars will be introduced in 2024 following the success of Cars as Art.
Complementing the stunning showcase of vehicles in 2023 was the hospitality of the tailoring houses, which each opened their doors to host a series of talks, tastings and activities over the course of the two-day event. The black-tie gala dinner will also be making a return in 2024.
“The second edition of this unique event established Concours on Savile Row as a key date in both the automotive and the bespoke-tailoring calendars,” said Geoff Love, UK managing director of Hothouse Media.
“The response to the event from manufacturers, sponsors and tailors has been tremendous, and 2024 will see further innovation as we continue to focus on the opportunities presented by such a special event.”
